I like to tell people that their resume shouldn’t tell me WHAT they did, but how they did it!

Ask yourself: “How did I do that job?”
Your answers should be skills focused.

Once you’ve incorporated skills into the picture, the next question is “SO WHAT?”
That’s where your accomplishments come in!

Let me be more clear (cause I agree, a lot of job advice is vague BS).

ACCOMPLISHMENTS. That’s what you want. Remember what I gave as examples: “Increased sales x% in 6months.” Or “Cultivated and landed in the largest account in the firm’s history.” Or “Decreased overhead expenses 24% without any loss of personnel.”

Just don’t leave these out. Don’t go overboard, but try to find one or two for each position you’ve been at.
