Don’t Sweat That Year End Performance Review

December 4th, 2007 · Leave A Comment

Another thing to look forward to (dread?) this time of year are performance reviews and year-end bonuses.

I’ll have a post on the year-end bonus later in the week. In the meantime, K. Stone over at DumbLittleMan has beaten me to the punch with a great post about how to get a positive annual review in 7 easy steps.

Obviously, this year is almost over, so there’s not much you can do polish the turd if you had a worthless 2007. But getting a poor performance review should motivate you to plan now for next year.

And hey, you still have time to work on point number 4:

Write Your Annual Self Assessment. Be sure to do this at the end of the year so that you can give it to your boss before he/she writes your review. It’s a good idea to start writing it during the last week of the year.
